Managing Director and Principal Advisor

Doug is the founder and Managing Director of Professional Wealth Pty Ltd. As Principal Advisor, Doug’s role is to provide personal advice on wealth building and retirement strategies and work closely with the firm's other professional staff.

Previously Doug worked for The Boston Consulting Group consulting to banks, insurers and fund managers predominantly on wealth businesses and product distribution. He understands how the industry and investing works and importantly how clients need to make it work for them.

Doug is a sought after speaker on wealth topics by both groups and industry. Doug can be heard periodically on Saturday mornings on AM 774 Victoria-wide as a guest personal finance talk back expert. Doug is also a regular writer for the investment newsletter the Eureka Report.

Doug established Wealth benchmarks, a free online, personal finance informational initiative to help people become more interested in their finances and assist advisors focusing on strategic issues. This service has been featured in newspapers across the country including the Australian, Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph, Sunday Mail, NT News; and in the BRW Rich.

Previously Doug worked for The Dow Chemical Company, DuPont and Boeing in various marketing and technology roles. He has for a number of years applied his technical skills to the topic of wealth management and has developed a highly refined view of what works and doesn’t in wealth creation.

Doug holds a PhD in engineering and a Diploma in Financial Planning and is a keen golfer and sailor. Doug is Australian born and has lived and worked in Canada, the United States and throughout Asia.
